• Adjectif court : the + adjectif + -est.

• Pour dire que c'est « le plus… d'un pays » ou « le plus … du/au monde » :

2. Superlatif d'infériorité : le moins…
• Pour tous les adjectifs, on a : the least + adjectif.
Nunavut is the least populated region in Canada.

Attention !
Exceptions ! Il faut apprendre ces formes par cœur :good → the best ; bad → the worst ; far → the farthest (sens propre) / furthest (sens figuré).
Les anglophones utiliseront quasiment toujours un superlatif de supériorité, quitte à tourner la phrase d'une autre manière !
